Batteries

What types of rechargeable and primary batteries exist for your MAL-Lighting lamp?

There is a great variety of different batterys on the market, but only a few have been able to “meet the grade” for our lamps. We mainly use NimH rechargable batteries of 10.8V, or leadacid rechargeable gelcells with 12V.

We offer primary and secondary batterypacks for the µHLD1. A primary battery is not normally rechargeable and is a use once and throw away situation with the ecological damage caused by heavy metal poisoning of the environment (lead, mercury, cadmium etc.). Secondary batteries are rechargeable, and not as damaging to the environment.
